“Ice Hockey 68K” has to be one of the best games for 89. The game feels well-polished, without a hint of beta code. The grayscale graphics are smooth, and even the menus have fancy rippling backgrounds and a cool font. There are lots of teams, but users can create more. It is fun to make strange teams and watch “Lord of the Rings” play the “Jedi.” The computer vs. computer mode is great fun just to watch, and the one-player and two-player modes are just as fun to play. The compatibility with the 89 Titanium is excellent. Overall, this game feels like something you would buy at a store (and if they sold it at a store, it would be worth buying).

My rating for “Ice Hockey 68K:” 10.

Wow! I think I'm in love. This game is unmatched! Anyone out there would love this game! The gameplay is smooth and crisp. It is easy to use and navigate. Wow! If I were stranded on a desert island and could bring only one thing, I think I'd bring this game. If you could only put one game on your TI-89, make it this one!

Overall ratings (1 to 10):

Speed-->10

Interface-->10

Ease of use-->10

Overall rating-->10!

Overall this is a very solid game. The graphics are big and fun to watch and the gameplay is good. It takes a little while to figure out how the program swaps your control from player to player, but it is not that hard to master. The team editor option is cool too. The game looks good, but the fading graphics get a little bit tiring. During a match, the user can also press apps to pause and then apps again to turn it off, basically a teacher key. The only thing I would like to see different about this game is that the player should be able to tap apps twice to immediately kill the screen, rather than press it once, wait 3 seconds for the graphics to change, and then press it again. Every second counts when the teacher is coming!
