Description
|
Close to two years ago, I got a fancy TI-83 Plus as a requirement for a class. Within a month, I had taught myself the basics of TI-83 BASIC, and decided to make a game. The result was called Bomb, probably the worst thing I’ve ever programmed in my life. I didn’t understand enough about the calculator and its limitations to program a game that could be called even semi-functional. But Bomb sat in my archive memory as a piece of nostalgia, as I learned the intricacies of TI-83 programming. Now, two years and many programs later, I’ve resurrected Bomb, using the original concept and sounder programming to create Bomb2. The idea is simple: you must use your ship to catch the bombs being dropped on your city. The more bombs you catch, the heavier your ship gets and the slower you go, but the bombs stay the same speed. The higher you catch a bomb, the more points its worth. This game is a mix of skill, planning, and sheer luck. Be sure to catch your bombs from directly below them, or you won’t be able to grab them. Plus users, Bomb2 Plus version will be released within a few days of this, with added features including high score.
