Controls: 7/10 Sluggish movement and no eight direction movement. Implementation: 5/10 See attention span. Overall: 6/10 Version 1.0 should be better. As the documentation indicates, Tie Fighter is not like the PC version. Most notably, it is 2D rather than 3D. This version of Tie Fighter is beta and the programmer promises a version 1.0 soon. It's just one of those side-scrolling space shoot 'em ups. It has a couple of moving stars and only two ship graphics (your ship and the enemy ship). The movement is sluggish and eight direction movement isn't supported. There is only one enemy at a time, and they only fire one shot. You can only have one shot on the screen at one time. There is no way to win... you simply play until you die. There are a few miscellaneous bugs with the display routines.
