While I was screenshotting, I came to this program called “Quake IV” and written in BASIC for the TI-83. The whole fact that it was written in BASIC made me presume that this was just going to be one of those other screenshots to do, but I was wrong. This is the very first BASIC shoot-em-up type game with decent graphics! The setup is a lot like any “Quake” for the computer, but once you start playing, you have a great 3D GUI to explore. The opponents aren't that difficult to beat but they might be for some. The only downside to this game was that the animation of the opponent dying flickered a bit and that the gameplay speed was on the verge of unsatisfactory.

There are plenty of good 3D “Wolfenstein-like” games out there in ASM, but barely good ones in 83 BASIC. Well done, Nicolas.
