“Alien Breed IV” is an excellent game! It is like one of my favorite games for the TI-83+/84+. I would recommend building a few levels into game, because if my RAM gets cleared for some reason, then I have to send the level files all over again. That is my only critcism for this game, otherwise it is awesome!
Graphics - 9/10 Gameplay - 9/10 Fun Factor - 10/10 Ease of Use - 7/10 (for having to add levels if RAM gets cleared) Total - 8.5/10 Awesome Game! |

This is the last in an excellent series for the 83, 83+, and 86. It has good graphics, though not stunning. It is fast-paced, with 8-way smooth-scrolling and many enemies to encounter.
It is most like Doom, or any of the other old puzzle-shooters, except from an aerial perspective. You must find keys to open doors. One interesting feature is the idea of an Intex console. Unlike Doom, you must buy your upgrades from them with credits found lying around. You can upgrade weapons, buy a map, and repair your health.
All in all, this game is well-crafted, with few flaws. The only problem is its large size, because of the sheer size and numbers of the maps. But if you have an 83+ or 86, this shouldn't be a problem. This game is definitely worth downloading. |
