Implementation: 5/10 Not original by any means, other games are better. Overall: 5/10 Look further. Nibbles 0 is a clone of the game ZNibbles. The game involves the player moving a snake around and collecting the dots. This is very much like another version of the game I have played not so long ago. The graphics this game are simpler than ZNibbles, its other asm competition. But there are two fatal flaws with this game. The first and most serious, is that while I tested this game, the controls worked as expected only part of the time. For some reason or other, when you release an arrow key at times, the snake will tend to turn toward the bottom of the screen for no reason. While this does not happen 1001001161410f the time, it dies occur almost every time you play the game. I do not know why this happens, but it is annoying and makes me want to put the game down right away. Another thing about this game that did not please me is that the snake is able to warp from the edge of the screen to the other for some reason or other. I do not know if this was made by design, or it is a bug in the game. Another complaint about this game is that the graphics do not seem as nice as ZNibbles. Something else I found disturbing is that the readme files states that this game could crash your calc is it is not of rom 1.2. While I am not afraid to have my calc crash, others may find this warning a bit unexpected and unwelcoming. In short, Nibbles 0 is a game that tries to be better than the rest of Nibble type games, but falls incredibly short of the mark. The graphics do not seem clean and smooth. The controls are natural, but I encountered some problems that were incredibly annoying and may turn off some gamers from this game. This game also does not keep a high score so you are not able to view your progress or to compare against others. The game seems to have some bugs, and is not original by means. Overall, this game is not the best implementation of Nibble that I have seen. The unclean graphics, lack of a high score, some bugs, and fear of crashing your calc makes this game not very appealing to most gamers.
