“Baseball 89” is an okay game. It's not too bad but it's not that great either. It should keep you entertained for at least a few classes :) The gameplay is very much the same from “Baseball 99'” for the TI-83. The only major difference is the graphics and the ability to also play defense. This version for the 89 still lacks the excitement factor. Every time the ball leaves the bat it is destined to go either right at the defenseman or it completely misses him. This is completely a factor of luck. Your only job on defense is to "hope" the ball makes its way to your defenseman and to hit a button at the critical moment the ball is in front of him. But in any case, it is worth a download, at least for boredom's sake.
Bottom line - 6/10 |
