Attention span: 4/10 Gets boring quickly. Controls: 3/10 Simple but slow. Implementation: 7/10 Graphics don't match the real game. Overall: 6/10 Can't come close to the real thing.
Simon is a calculator version of the game where you hit lights memorizing a sequence. This program, by TCPA, comes closer to actually matching the gameplay of the original than all the other Simon clones out there. It includes high score keeping and 126 levels.
The one major set back for this game is speed. It takes an excruciating amount of time for the lights to flash when you hit them, so it slows down the gameplay.
Graphics, like most of the other versions, don't look a thing like the actual game, the game is just a square divided into 4 triangles. But, the game probably would perform even slower with better graphics.
On a good point, the file size is small, so it won't take up that much room if you keep it archived.
My question is why would anyone want this game for a calculator? Even though this is the BEST SIMON GAME for the 82/83/83+, the excitement of the game, in which your hands hitting the buttons do the work, is lost. |
