Suitability: 9/10 Better if TOTALY killed 8k limit.
Ease-Of-Use: 9/10 Explorer keys similiar with VARLINK
Overall: 9/10 Excellent.

As many of you TI-89 users have already know, Doors OS is a very popular shell and kernel for assembly program. But still, I will write a review for it in case for the people that don't know truly about it.

Doors OS is a great shell and kernel for the TI-89 that lets you run assembly programs written in 68k language. Without this program, you won't be able to play those good games out there. What is neat about Doors is that it comes with a neat directory explorer programs that lets you run assembly programs and do whatever inside the VAR-LINK screen can do, except that in Doors Explorer it is MUCH easier to navigate around. There is also password protection and you can setup it so that it will show different type of programs depending on your selection.

The new Doors OS II version 0.93 claims that it has passed and overided the 8k limit for people with AMS version 2.03 running assembly programs. Well unfortunately, most assembly programs over 8k in size still does not work. How many games out there doesn't work, well what I think is around 7 out of 10 assembly games still doesn't work. It will still crash the calculator. But if you run some programs under 8k or are AMS 2.03 compatible, Doors OS still works really well.

Well in conclusion I still think that Doors OS is the still the BEST shell and kernel for the TI-89 even though it still have some few bugs to fix. The people who made it did a good job on it and I hope that they will still make it bigger, better, and meaner to the 8k limit on assembly programs. =)
